Blue Star Glass, a leader in glass fabrication and distribution under the Blue Industries umbrella, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Glass Estimator to join our growing team. This full-time role is ideal for professionals passionate about the glass industry and dedicated to delivering exceptional products to our clients.
As a Glass Estimator, you will collaborate with Senior Estimators to analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements. Your role involves performing detailed take-offs, pricing, and bidding for custom glass fabrication clients ensuring alignment with Blue Star Glass’s commitment to quality and precision.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals for glass fabrication projects, including custom-cut glass, insulated glass units, laminated glass, and specialty glass products.
- Analyze architectural and shop drawings to determine material specifications and scope of work.
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain accurate material costs and ensure compatibility with client specifications.
- Organize vendor quotations, negotiate terms to meet project needs, and issue purchase orders with detailed documentation.
- Utilize estimating software, such as Logikal , to optimize material use and ensure precise cost calculations and design compatibility.
- Develop project budgets and schedules, monitor progress, and identify potential risks or adjustments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless communication and project coordination.
- Support the Sales and Business Development teams in preparing competitive bids and proposals for glass supply projects.
