At Blue Star we act as an extension of our non-profit clients’ marketing needs to help expand their outreach and sales programs, while creating a better future for our community. We work with several of the largest charitable causes as well as some of the nation's leading communications experts to connect our community in unfounded ways. These organizations entrust us to help them expand their efforts and their message. We do this by interacting and engaging with the community by being in the community.
In order to provide our clients with the best service, we are hiring an Entry Level Event Marketing Assistant to join our team. As an Entry-Level Event Marketing Assistant, you will play a key role in planning events and community outreach so that our clients are able to continue the community driven efforts that they were founded on.
Entry Level Event Marketing Assistant Responsibilities:
- Communicating the impact and importance of the cause to motivate people to donate.
- Selling client products and services at outreach events.
- Promoting events, campaigns, and initiatives to increase participation.
- Meeting or exceeding goals through targeted sales efforts and customer care.
- Tracking sales and donations, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Creating and submitting sales reports to supervisors or managers.
- Collaborating with other team members, marketing departments, or leadership to ensure efforts align with the organization’s mission.
Entry Level Event Marketing Assistant Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not always required), particularly in fields such as marketing, business, communications, nonprofit management, or a related area.
- Some prior experience in sales, customer service, hospitality or related industry is preferred but not required.
- Ability to interact with and build relationships with clients or donors is essential.
- The ability to build rapport with potential donors or sponsors is crucial.
- Ability to close deals, persuade others, and achieve fundraising goals.
- Able to build trust and long-term engagement with community members
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $600.00 - $1,000.00 per week
