Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SAP MM Application Architect to join our client’s team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong track record in implementing and supporting SAP solutions while demonstrating deep expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM) and Procure to Pay processes. The candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, providing SAP MM solution architecture and consulting to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
SAP Consulting & Solution Architecture:
- Collaborate with clients to identify business requirements and develop SAP solutions.
- Design, configure, and implement SAP MM modules and integrated solutions.
- Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and propose system enhancements.
- Provide technical leadership for SAP MM solution architecture and integration.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates to key stakeholders.
Project Execution & Support:
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for SAP MM implementations.
- Ensure smooth and timely completion of project deliverables within scope and budget.
- Conduct Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.
- Provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting for end-users.
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and best practices.
Enterprise Architecture & Compliance:
- Align technology solutions with business strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Work with IT infrastructure teams to ensure system compatibility and scalability.
- Evaluate application system needs across multiple systems and develop logical data architectures and standards.
- Provide strategic consulting on enabling technologies to meet business needs.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
Collaboration & Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with hardware, network, and database architects to evaluate new technologies.
- Communicate and educate technical teams on SAP architecture, industry trends, and best practices.
- Facilitate vendor engagement to assess product scalability and fit for business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 13 years of relevant experience, including 3 years as an Application Architect.
- 8 years of experience in implementing and supporting SAP solutions with expertise in SAP MM.
- Strong understanding of SAP Procure to Pay (P2P) processes and best practices.
- Experience with SAP integration across multiple systems (SAP and non-SAP).
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT architectures, security policies, and cloud technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of system configuration, data modeling, and business processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- SAP Functional Certifications.
- Experience in SAP PP (Production Planning) configuration, customization, and deployment.
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
- Expertise in cloud-based SAP solutions and hybrid SAP environments.
