Rate: $110-$115/hour based on experience
Contract Type: W-2 only, no visa sponsorships or subcontracting
Scope of Services:
The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead will lead the change management efforts for a utilities client’s SAP implementation within a Work and Asset Management program. This position involves overseeing the development, execution, and refinement of change management strategies aimed at driving successful organizational transformation. The OCM Lead will lead the assessment of the current state, identify gaps, and design an actionable plan to implement the future state. This role requires a focus on stakeholder engagement, process alignment, communication strategies, and managing the organizational impact of system and process changes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding the overall change management strategy, managing a cross-functional team, and ensuring the effective adoption of new processes and technology.
Role, Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Change Impact Assessment & Gap Analysis: Lead a thorough analysis of the current state, identifying gaps in business processes, systems, and workforce capabilities. Develop a comprehensive plan to close these gaps and align people, processes, and technology.
- Change Management Strategy Development: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive change management strategy that includes the development of vision, objectives, success criteria, and an actionable plan for achieving the desired transformation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead efforts to build strong relationships with stakeholders across various business units. Drive active engagement and buy-in from leadership and key employees, ensuring their involvement throughout the change process.
- Communication Strategy Development: Develop and manage the communication strategy for the project, ensuring that messages are clear, concise, and aligned with the project goals. Collaborate with teams to create communications that address stakeholder concerns and foster understanding of the changes.
- Implementation Plan: Oversee the development and execution of an implementation plan, ensuring clear milestones, timelines, and responsibilities are defined. Integrate training, communication, and support strategies into the plan.
- Risk Management & Mitigation: Lead efforts to identify and assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and continuously monitor and adjust the change management approach based on feedback, challenges, and evolving project requirements.
- Training & Support: Oversee the development and execution of training programs to ensure employees are prepared to embrace new processes, systems, and tools. Ensure that training content is aligned with the needs of different employee groups.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Provide leadership with regular updates on the effectiveness of the change management strategy, tracking progress and identifying any issues that may require corrective action.
- Final Recommendations & Transition Plan: At the conclusion of the project, provide a comprehensive report summarizing deliverables, outcomes, and recommendations for continued transformation. Ensure that a sustainable change management plan is in place for the ongoing success of the transformation.
Required Experience:
- Experience: 8 years of experience in leading organizational change initiatives, with a focus on people, process, and technology alignment.
- Utilities Industry Experience: Strong preference for candidates with experience in the utilities industry, particularly within electric energy or similar sectors.
- Organizational Change Expertise: Proven experience in leading complex organizational change efforts, particularly in large-scale system implementations or business transformations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Expertise in managing relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and buy-in at all levels of the organization.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering complex projects, defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and ensuring successful outcomes.
- Consulting Experience: Strong consulting background, providing strategic direction, and delivering tailored solutions aligned with client needs.
- Technology Integration: Familiarity with integrating change management strategies into large-scale technology implementations.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Education & Certifications:

- Additional Qualifications: Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, or other change management or process improvement certifications are beneficial.
