Blue Suede Hospitality Group (“BSHG”) is a new generation hospitality company, focused on making traveling better for our guests. We are modernizing the boutique hotel experience by incorporating the industry’s best new technologies throughout the entire guest journey & hotel operation and combining that with the quality control and best practices of the hotel industry, all at unbeatable, walkable locations in downtown markets.
Our position at BSHG as both the real estate owner and hotel management company gives us a unique opportunity to enhance the guest experience with complete control of the operation, while setting us up for growth in being able to maximize profitability. We use flexible layouts, dynamic pricing, and technology-based solutions to enable BSHG hotels to appeal to a wide range of guests: those traveling for vacation or business, for one night or an extended stay, and everyone in between.

What You’ll Do
As a Guest Ambassador, you’ll be the face of Blue Suede Hospitality Group at our hotel in Charlottesville: The Doyle - ensuring our guests feel valued, supported, and inspired from the moment they arrive until long after they’ve departed.
In this dynamic and guest-focused role, you will:
- Be the First Point of Contact On Site: Welcome every guest with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, setting the tone for an exceptional stay.
- Deliver Memorable Experiences: Anticipate and fulfill guest needs, creating “wow” moments that exceed expectations.
- Act as a Concierge Extraordinaire: Offer personalized recommendations for dining, activities, and entertainment, ensuring guests experience the best of their destination.
- Ensure Smooth Journeys: Coordinate check-ins, check-outs, and everything in between, providing seamless transitions throughout the guest journey.
- Solve Problems with Grace: Handle challenges and special requests with creativity, empathy, and efficiency, leaving guests feeling cared for.
- Ensure Safety and Security: Regularly monitor the premises to ensure the safety of guests, team members, and the building, promptly addressing any potential issues or concerns.
- Be a Brand Ambassador: Embody the Blue Suede spirit in all guest interactions, sharing the story and values of our hospitality group.
- Collaborate with the Team: Partner with colleagues across all departments, housekeeping, engineering, and virtual management - to ensure all guest touchpoints reflect our commitment to excellence.
- Celebrate Feedback: Gather guest insights, both positive and constructive, and share them with the team to continuously enhance the guest experience.
Who You Are
We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about people and thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. The ideal candidate will:
- Have a natural flair for hospitality, with a warm, engaging, and approachable personality.
- Provide exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrate independence and initiative by proactively addressing guest needs, resolving issues autonomously, and making decisions that enhance the overall guest experience without requiring constant supervision.
- Display a problem-solving mindset with the ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Possess a love for creating memorable guest experiences and going the extra mile.
- Be Tech-Savvy: BSHG operates a tech-forward guest experience. Comfort with team messaging, task management, and hotel reservation applications.
- Bring previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar guest-facing role (a plus but not required).
- Ability to work the shift: 4pm-12am, full-time. Varying days per week, usually including weekends. Part-time availability is not being considered.
