Overview
Blue Tank and Pump is a specialized equipment rental company that supplies Frac Tanks, Roll Off Boxes, Diesel Pumps, Generators, Shoring and Water Treatment solutions. We are up to 8 Branches, 4000 pieces of rental equipment spread out among our branches and are headquartered out of Nicholasville KY. Our equipment helps support a variety of businesses including construction, environmental, private companies and everything in between. We are an ever growing company, having added several new branches in the last couple years.
We are looking to hire a Full Time Fleet Mechanic at our Monroe branch. We have a variety of equipment in our fleet from small gas generators all the way up to large diesel pumps that need service, this ranges from 25hp up to 550HP. We also host a fleet of diesel/gas pickup trucks as well as diesel semis and trailers that we work on in house. We are a dealer for several of our lines of equipment and you will be trained to work on several of the different major brands. Our mechanics will often have to go out to job sites to work on equipment that is in need of repair or service while it is still in the field. Our mechanics will have a shop space to work in while at the branch but will also be required to work in the field in a variety of weather conditions. You will have to provide your own tools and are required to have previous mechanic experience. We offer competitive wages and opportunities for advancement in your position. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including Caterpillar models.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Repair and replace components such as shocks, struts, and HVAC systems as needed.
- Align vehicles and ensure proper functioning of all systems.
- Utilize welding techniques for repairs when necessary.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely while performing maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role, working with diesel engines and industrial equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is preferred but not required.
- Experience operating forklifts and cranes is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
