As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the project's delivery is on schedule and in line with budgeted performance metrics. This role also works alongside team members and manages daily on-site project activities.
What you'll do...
Mobilize to the site at receipt of assignment and perform "Site Establishment," which includes :Scope and Schedule review with the local-level client
Confirmation of client-approved working hoursConfirmation of client-approved dumpster and storage container placementConfirmation of client approved Superintendent and subcontractor staff parkingConfirmation of client-approved crew entrance and exit to the work siteEstablish a daily "Check In / Check Out" process with local managementCoordinate work of all subcontractors in the fieldDirect and oversee the daily operation of all subcontractors in a way that achieves successful completion of the projectManage daily activities, always attempting to obtain a high-quality finish prior to the predetermined scheduleEnforcing crew dress code (BBMK / BlueTeam uniform t-shirts)Accurately record daily crew members and activitiesPrepare and submit all project-related paperwork at the required time of submissionDaily Crew Activity Sheets and Project Field Reports : submitted daily by 9 am for the previous day's activitiesWeekly Status Reports : submitted to PM by 12 : 00 pm EST every ThursdayIncident Reports : submitted within 1 hour of a reportable incident occurringPersonal Expense Report : submitted by 9 : 00 am EST MondayWeekly Tracker : submitted by 9 : 00 am EST MondayEnsures job site safety and quality of work (no rework / call back)Conduct and record Weekly "Toolbox Talk" safety meeting every Monday of the active projectEnsures all subcontractors on a project attend the "Toolbox Talk" meeting and sign-in sheets are returned to Project Admin by 12pm the day of the meetingPerform regular quality checks of ongoing production, giving corrective direction to subcontractors when inferior quality or unsatisfactory work is discovered, eliminating punch work by oversight, and implementing proper finishesPerform regular "pre-punch" walks with subcontractors and give directions on actions needed to complete the scopeEnsures minimal customer business interferenceServe as the site leader, on the job site full-timeCross-train with the Remediation / Restoration division to obtain the training and successfully manage a remediation projectKnowledge of interior building methodsPerforms other related duties and assignments as requiredWhat you'll need...
An associate's or bachelor's degree from a college or university or three (3) years of experience working in commercial or residential construction trades or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Computer skills including internet, e-mail, (MS Outlook) MS Excel, and MS WordExperience working for a general contractorExtensive knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques, as well as applicable local, State, and Federal building codes and legislationFamiliarity with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasksStrong communication skillsThorough and attentive to detailsAble to prioritize and multi-taskProactive and deadline-orientedAbility to read and interpret documents in English, such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsCertifications a plusWhat you'll get in return...
