The Role:
We are seeking a dependable and efficient Warehouse Delivery/Picker Driver to assist with order picking and the timely delivery of products to customer locations. This role involves picking and loading items, ensuring accurate and safe delivery, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and possesses strong communication skills to ensure smooth delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Picking: Accurately pick products based on customer orders using handheld scanners or picking lists.
- Loading: Safely load items onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper stacking and securing to prevent damage during transit.
- Delivery Operations: Drive delivery vehicles to customer locations, job sites, or other designated destinations, following established routes and schedules.
- Customer Service: Provide professional, courteous service during deliveries, including assistance with unloading and addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
- Unloading: Confirm the accuracy of delivered items against delivery documents, and unload items upon arrival at the destination.
- Documentation: Complete all required delivery documentation, including invoices and receipts. Collect customer signatures upon delivery.
- Inventory Coordination: Work with warehouse personnel to ensure the accuracy of product quantities before loading for delivery. Report any discrepancies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, reporting issues promptly, and ensuring the vehicle is properly maintained.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while driving and delivering. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
- Pickups and Returns: Coordinate product pickups and returns, managing associated paperwork and documentation.

Adaptability: Adjust to changes in delivery schedules, priorities, and the nature of products being transported.
Qualifications:
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): A valid CDL may be required depending on the size and type of delivery vehicle.
- Experience: Prior experience in delivery driving or warehouse picking is preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading.
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a professional manner.
- Route Planning: Familiarity with local routes and the ability to efficiently plan deliveries to optimize schedules.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate picking, loading, and delivery of items. Pay attention to documentation and delivery accuracy.
- Communication: Clear communication skills to coordinate effectively with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customers.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and consistent in attending to delivery and warehouse operations.
- Adaptability: Able to handle changes in delivery schedules and priorities with ease.
