Description
We are seeking a friendly and responsible Child Watch Attendant to join our fitness center team. As a Child Watch Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and enjoyable environment for children while their parents or guardians utilize our facility. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community
Starting rate: $15/hr
WORK HOURS
Hours of operation are Monday – Saturday 7:45a – 12:45p.
Current shifts available are Tuesday and Thursday 7:30a – 12:45p.
With occasional availability for needed for Monday – Saturday
Must be willing to work holidays such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Day after Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
Responsibilities:
Provides a clean, safe and fun child care environment.
Checks children in and out while providing basic child care.
Ensures safe play conditions and follows established security procedures.
Orients parents in regard to policies and procedures of child care center and maintains positive rapport with all parents and patrons.
Develops and implements activities for the children and attentively watches, interacts with and attends to the children.
Treats children if injured and completes accident reports, reports to parents and management
Handles complaints and comments and refers comments to proper personnel.
Maintains clean environment; performs janitorial duties as required or assigned to include body fluid cleanup, sanitizing area, and light housekeeping.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Previous childcare experience desired.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
CPR/AED/First Aid certification strongly encouraged or ability to be obtained through training.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must have or be able to obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications within 60 days of hire and keep them current throughout employment.
Must be willing and available to work the hours that Child Watch is provided.
Knowledge of basic childcare.
Ability to multi-task and attend to the needs to multiple children at the same time.
Strong public relations and communication skills.
Ability to work well with children and be patient with them.
Ability to move and react quickly to a variety of circumstances.
Must pass a Background Check
