INTRODUCTION TO ROLE
The Ropes Course Supervisor leads staff and camper groups through the progression of initiatives and low and high elements and the debriefing process while ensuring the safety of the participants. The ropes course specialist is responsible for regularly evaluating equipment and elements, including maintaining up-to-date equipment.

Ability to live and work in a camp setting with children and adults 24 hours a day, with minimum privacy, while maintaining a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a good sense of humor.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

- Ability to tie all necessary knots quickly, confidently, and correctly.
- Ability to safely belay participants and perform rescues if required.
- Ability to set up and take down each element.
- Ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers and staff.
- Ability to observe camper and staff behavior, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques.
- Ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity.
- Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. Must assist campers and staff in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess the length and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
- Ability to endure standing for long hours and perform activities such as running, bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Ability to operate with daily exposure to the sun, heat, and varying environmental conditions.
- Ability to traverse varying terrain, from flat to hilly, while moving with campers between activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
WHAT YOU BRING
- 18 years or older to operate all levels and positions. It may be subject to state or country laws.
- 100% attendance of training sessions.
- Capabilities to bend, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods.
- Must be able to communicate with staff and participants.
- Successful completion of practical tests.
- Comfortable being near people of all ages and genders
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75-100 pounds (with the assistance of a team lifts or hand tool). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The hospitality environment is fast-paced, and at times you may be required to cover or assist with tasks/job functions outside of the job you were hired for.
