INTRODUCTION TO ROLE

Blue Water Hospitality is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to join our campground resort restaurant / cafe, managing and overseeing all food and beverage (F&B) operations in our campground. The F&B Manager is in charge of ensuring high-quality service, effective cost management, and guest satisfaction.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Food & Beverage Manager manages the entire business, front / back of the house. Responsible for directing and supervising food preparation for all food outlets of the campground, ensuring the highest quality and consistency as relates to food handling, food quality, and food preparation while maintaining established operational standards.

  • Develop, communicate, and implement a business strategy aligned with the property and brand, then lead in its execution.
  • Provide inspirational leadership while supervising and managing team members during
  • day-to-day operations

  • Assist team members on the floor, behind the bar, and in the kitchen during high-demand times, demonstrating functional expertise and ensuring staffing levels meet business demands appropriately.
  • Respond quickly and proactively to guest concerns and take ownership of feedback until they are addressed and resolved.
  • Accountable for all planned events and catering
  • Effective communication on key social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest
  • Build lasting relationships with corporate clients and social and industry networks that maximize business development opportunities.
  • Stay informed with market trends and introduce new products and services to drive guest engagement, increase revenue, and ensure a competitive position in the market.
  • WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

    The F&B Manager, including the bar staff, manages the restaurant (back and front of the house), including the Bar.  Reports to the General Manager.

    WHAT YOU BRING

  • Strong background in a Food & Beverage or Kitchen Management role
  • Menu development, engineering and execution.
  • Willingness to take chances and pivot when / if the time comes.
  • Flexibility and out-of-the-box thinking. A restaurant GM mindset in a totally different and dynamic environment.
  • You have a post-secondary diploma or degree in a field of study related to this profession or four years of experience in a comparable position and / or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You have detailed knowledge of food and beverage operations, a record of accomplishment of strong leadership and strategic planning skills, and proven achievements in optimizing guest and team member engagement.
  • You have a strong understanding of food & beverage operations and financial and budgeting systems, clearly understanding cost controls and driving topline revenue.
  • Possess strong interpersonal relations and leadership abilities
  • You have a professional business appearance and demeanor, brand and culture-focused!
  • You have excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills and the flexibility to meet the demands of a 7-day-a-week operation.
  • ServeSafe certified (preferred)
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to :

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust and focus
  • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Walk or run, stand for long periods of time, bend or twist their body.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Must have the physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
