Groundskeepers are responsible for the daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds. Required to use hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation ect.

- Responsible for daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds
- Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws
- Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes
- Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans
- Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds
- Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes
- Haul or spread topsoil or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place
- Keep all of the walkways and building entrances cleared and safe
- Take on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary by the supervisor
- Collaborate with maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for
- Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the lawn care equipment and tools
- Decorate indoor and outdoor spaces
- Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls
- Gather and remove litter
- Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured and guest ready at all times
Performs other duties as assigned
Provides regular and reliable attendance
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2 years' groundskeeping experience

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee frequently must squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head and reach forward. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools and climbs on to ladders. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds such as a toolbox. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move up to 75 pounds such as piping and pool valves. The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables, scaffolds, and air compressors. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
