What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host / Hostess position at Blue Water Hospitality Group, LLC?
The Hostess displays outstanding guest service, and a “can-do” spirit. Assures each guest is greeted and served promptly.
- Seasonal roles are not eligible for health benefits. Seasonal roles are eligible for sick time and holiday pay

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Works closely with staff and has direct contact with guests.
- Greet guests and determine the number in their party.
- Seats guests by finding a clean, available table.
- Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide needed assistance.
- Move and arrange tables, chairs, organize seating for groups and special needs.
- Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting.
- Good food and service knowledge.
- Know the server stations, their daily assignments, their personal timing patterns, and maximum workload capacity.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Requires the ability to demonstrate job competency in actual task performance following completion of on-the-job training.
- Requires reading, writing, mathematical skills, and ability to operate a computer terminal
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires the ability to lift to 30 lbs. and the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
The hospitality environment is fast-paced and at times you may be required to cover or assist with tasks / job functions outside of the job you were hired for. We require each of our team members to have an All-Hands-On-Deck mindset. This means you may be tasked with other functions and are expected to complete those tasks with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication as expected with your normal job duties.
