JOB DESCRIPTION: Corporate Accountant (Bookkeeper)
• Blue World is looking for an experienced Corporate Accountant/Controller to start immediately in our main office located in Florham Park, NJ. The position will be responsible for managing overall accounting tasks of our growing specialized construction company. Tasks may include budgeting, financial reporting, financial planning, managing WIP/backlog and monthly reporting, cash flow projections, employee reimbursables, client billing (AR), vendor invoice processing and payment (AP), and payroll.
The compensation for this position is commensurate with experience applicable to the types of projects we work on.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
• Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business/Finance is preferred.
• Accounting Experience – min 10 years required; experience a must in the areas of Unanet/CVIF software, budgeting and WIP, payroll, client billing, and payment processing/management. Experience with different payroll companies/platforms is ideal.
• Position is based out of Florham Park, NJ, but will be supporting the management team located in Texas, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. Work in the office is required.
• Willingness to learn our business model and apply “hands on” learning experience from previous employment and ability to learn new skills.
• Must provide references verifying experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Position requires very motivated individual that is not afraid to do what is needed and learn rather than watch and just provide oversight.
• Position requires entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic as well as very good communication/listening skills and teamwork.
• Position requires onsite in Florham Park office (this is not a remote position).
• Knowledge of corporate financial strategy and tactical planning and budget forecasting, construction industry experience.
• Proficiency in general accounting practices, accounting math, project accounting, and general ledger and balance sheets
• Proficiency of Unanet AE/CVIF is a must and experience verification must be provided.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office and excel spreadsheets.
• Proficiency in monthly update to WIP
• Proficiency in monthly bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation
• Knowledge of project retainage and project financial tracking.
• Knowledge of processing payroll and managing corporate benefits
• Work with outside accountant in tax compliance and preparation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship development skills with a willingness to build relationships with key stakeholders, as well as outside corporate accountant, bank liaison, clients’ financial contacts, vendors, and other contractors.
• Willingness to work directly with Regional Managers/Management Team to provide project support with job estimating and client billing and collections.
• Excellent writing skills are necessary for this position.
• Goal for this position is grow into a senior management role.
TYPICAL HOURS/ SCHEDULE:
• Office schedule 8:30am – 5pm, Monday thru Friday;
PAY: competitive salary commensurate with applicable experience
