Role Summary
In this newly created role, you will be BWS’s go-to expert responsible for supervising plasma technology within our mining operations. You’ll manage and oversee the application of plasma refining for mining operations. Must have knowledge of Plasma Refinement and experience with Gold and other precious metal recovery. You may be required to travel to client sites. As a bridge between internal engineering teams, external stakeholders, and on-site personnel, you will ensure effective implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of plasma-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plasma Technology Implementation
• Lead end-to-end deployment of plasma technology solutions in Gold and other precious recovery.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and project teams to tailor solutions for each client’s needs.
2. On-Site Support & Travel
• Serve as BWS’s on-site representative at mining and processing facilities, may involve domestic and/or international travel.
• Coordinate hands-on support for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of plasma equipment.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, site managers, and other stakeholders.
• Gather feedback, address concerns, and communicate progress to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
4. Project Coordination
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure milestones are met on schedule.
• Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshooting technical or operational challenges as they arise.
5. Training & Knowledge Transfer
• Train client-side teams on proper handling, safety protocols, and best practices related to plasma technology.
• Develop documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
6. Continuous Improvement
• Monitor performance metrics and conduct process evaluations to optimize plasma-based systems for higher efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and industry trends to enhance BWS’s service offerings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Minimal Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Industry Experience: 3 years in mining operations, metallurgical processes, or related fields. Demonstrated experience of plasma technology is a Must.
• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with industrial equipment, process engineering, or similar technical domains. Ability to interpret schematics and operational guidelines.
• Travel Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel (domestic/international) to client sites.
• Project Management Skills: Proven track record managing complex projects—planning, budgeting, and coordinating teams.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for interfacing with clients, partners, and internal teams.
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with mine tailings or environmental reclamation projects.
• Knowledge of plasma physics or experience working on plasma-based industrial solutions.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or specific safety credentials).
• Additional language skills for international travel.
