Mermaid Actor Part-Time Job Opportunity

Blue Zoo is an interactive aquarium in Rogers focuses on providing families and individuals a fun and educational experience! Our guests can touch and feed stingrays, birds and reptiles, see sharks, clownfish, angelfish, enjoy play equipment, and water play tables! Not only can guests enjoy the animals but we also host events where meeting Mermaids, Pirates and attending dive shows are all part of the fun.

The mermaid positions are a vital part of Blue Zoo’s mission to inspire and educate. Your role will be to positively engage with the audience to create both a fun and educational experience. Memorable audience interactions is what each actor will strive for every day with every guest!

Job Responsibilities:

- Attend rehearsals.

- Memorize scripts.

- Ability to swim with sharks and withstand long periods of cold water

- Physically fit to tread water for 15-30 minutes with a smile

- Fantastic communication skills and ability to improv with speaking with children

- Maintain character at all times

-Engage with guests during birthday parties/private events.

- Positivity, especially with children, is a necessity.

- Provide availability one month in advance of shows.

This position is 10 hours or less.
