Position Description
Bluebird Kids Health is seeking a Launch Operations MBA Intern to drive the execution of our 2025 expansion strategy, overseeing the launch of three de novo pediatric practice locations in North Florida (Jacksonville) and South Florida (Tamarac). Reporting to the Director of Growth & Launch, this high-impact role offers an opportunity to lead execution on a critical growth initiative.
The intern will manage end-to-end project execution, ensuring each new practice opens on time, on budget, and at the highest operational standard. They will collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and internal teams to track progress, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize processes for future expansions. This role requires deep cross-functional collaboration across Operations, People, Technology, Regulatory, Finance, and Growth to align launch milestones with broader strategic objectives.
Beyond execution, this individual will play a key role in shaping our expansion strategy, developing a scalable, repeatable launch playbook to fuel future market entries. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What You’ll Do
Cross-Functional Strategy
- Led and facilitate weekly cross-functional launch meetings, ensuring all stakeholders (Operations, People, Technology & Product, Growth, Regulatory, Finance, etc.) are aligned on key milestones, risks, and deliverables
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline site launches, drive increased speed, accuracy, and efficiency while ensuring an exceptional staff and patient experience
- Play a key role in designing and refining a scalable launch framework, developing standard operating procedures, execution timelines, and strategic playbook to support rapid market expansion
Launch Readiness & Operational Execution
- Own vendor and partner relationships, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, and standardized execution across all de novo sites
- Act as the primary liaison with landlords, architects, general contractors, and external consultants to drive on-time, on-budget site opening
- Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, including construction delays, operational risks, and budget variances, by working across teams and external stakeholders
- Partner with finance leadership to manage capital spend reporting
- Oversee procurement and deployment of critical infrastructure, including medical equipment, technology systems, supplies, and facility readiness, ensuring each site is operationally seamless at launch
- Support new hire training and onboarding, in collaboration with the General Manager and Chief People Office, ensuring a high-performing team at opening
Growth & Market Development
- Develop and execute market entry strategies, including grand opening events, working closely with the Director of Growth & Launch and Chief Marketing Officer
- Partner with marketing and community outreach teams to implement localized engagement strategies, ensuring each new site launches with strong patient demand

What You’ll Need
- Currently in school for an advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MHA, MS, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- 5 years of healthcare experience in project management, clinical operations, consulting, or tech-enabled healthcare services
- Proven track record of designing and executing operations in rapidly scaling service delivery organizations
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire a team and drive cross-functional collaboration and complex projects
- Highly detail oriented, with proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- A strategic thinker with an analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Highly motivated, organized, self-starter, comfortable managing ambiguity and working in high growth environments
- Familiarity with Project Management software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Asana, etc.) is a plus
