Job description
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, outgoing Pharmacy Cashier/Clerk and technician, who will represent our company at the store front. You will assist the pharmacists to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy cashier/clerk you must be detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and adaptable to changes since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as quick learning skills. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive and flexible environment while contributing to the preparation of customized medications to meet patients' unique needs. Non-sterile compounding experience is preferred, but not required. Any individuals who are interested in getting pharmacy technician license and possess excellent customer service skills are welcomed. We offer training for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Sterilize working surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for operation
- Greet customers, assist customers with OTC merchandise, and answer questions
- Receive prescriptions, check their validity, and obtain all necessary information from patients and doctors.
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate
- Resolve any insurance issues such as rejected claims or prior authorization requirement
- Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
- Check in orders, update inventory, label medications, price OTC items, and monitor inventory
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned by the pharmacy manager or owner
- Perform any tasks assigned by the pharmacist on duty
- Take charge in organizing and cleaning the pharmacy daily such as filing prescription records.
- Delivery medications to customer homes when needed
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards
- Comply with the company, state, and federal rules and regulations
- Clean and organize the pharmacy

- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician program
- Certified Pharmacy technician is an asset
- Non-sterile compounding experience preferred.
- Certified immunizer is preferred
- Lead tech experience and administrative skills are preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.50 - $22.00 per hour
