Job Overview
As Bulk Transport and Stock Coordinator you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service by selecting and preparing large bulk orders for our facilities from multiple stores and grocers. Your attention to detail and ability to efficiently navigate the stores will ensure that our dietary managers will receive their items accurately and in a timely manner. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with our dietary managers and team members. This job involves significant physical activity and requires the ability to consistently lift heavy items (in excess of 30lbs) regularly.
We are looking for individual that is capable of shopping stores two-days per week. Our shopper currently buys large bulk orders for our two Assisted Living Facilities and two restaurants. Shopping lists are provided bi-weekly by our dietary managers. Businesses you can expect to be shopping large orders from: Sam's Club, Restaurant Depot, Walmart, Mosier's.
Duties
- Accurately select grocery items based on bulk order lists from our dietary managers, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Navigate the store efficiently to gather items while checking expiration dates on items selected.
- Transporting items to one of four facilities in a timely manner while not compromising the quality of the products.
- Communicate effectively with dietary managers regarding their orders, substitutions, or any issues that may arise. Managers need to let managers know when items are out of stock, or not found at the stores.
- Keep receipts organized and separated for each of the companies.
- Loading, unloading and storing items at purchase location and at delivery location.
Skills
- Be comfortable driving a 16 ft box truck (CDL license is not required)
- Operate a gate lift.
- Be capable of lifting up to 30lbs, and pushing full shopping carts or flat bed carts filled with large bulk items.
- Have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Make sure they represent the company in a professional manner.
- This job requires an individual who can perform duties independently with little to no supervision.
We will train the right person on expectations and standard shopping routine. We currently shop two days per week. Right now, this is Mondays and Thursdays, but could be Tuesdays and Fridays. Our shopper needs to be flexible and adjust for holidays.
Shopping route will go from London to Columbus to Marysville and then back to London, but could also go from Marysville to Columbus to London and then back to Marysville.
