As we continue to expand, we seek a Senior Staff Accountant to manage and optimize our financial operations. This position is critical to Bluebird’s commitment to financial precision and will serve as a key partner in supporting our long-term growth.
Position Summary :
The SSA will oversee Bluebird’s financial operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), sales tax compliance, payroll, and financial strategy. This role is ideal for a highly experienced finance professional who can balance day-to-day financial oversight with a strategic vision for sustainable growth.
While this is a remote role, we prefer candidates based in the Atlanta area for occasional in-person collaboration.
Key Responsibilities :
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Management : Lead AP and AR processes, ensuring efficient workflows and timely collections / payments to support cash flow optimization.
- Sales Tax Compliance : Ensure accurate and timely sales tax filing across relevant jurisdictions, staying current with all regulatory requirements.
- Payroll Oversight : Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient vendor relationships.
- Financial Strategy and Forecasting : Develop and implement budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics aligned with Bluebird’s growth strategy.
- Internal Controls and Audit Preparedness : Establish and maintain internal controls for accuracy in financial reporting, ensuring audit readiness and compliance.
- Reporting and Analysis : Prepare detailed financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually, providing insights to inform executive decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Act as a financial advisor to business units, promoting budget management and financial literacy across the organization.
