Overview of the Position:
Bluebonnet Eye Care is looking for a full time Optician/Receptionist who is responsible for providing excellent customer service, establishing patient rapport, assisting patients in choosing frames, lenses, and add ons, verifying and filing vision insurances, and scheduling patients exams.
Essential Duties / Functions / Responsibilities of the Job:
- Responsible for greeting and checking-in patients
- Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail and operate efficiently
- Operate as a team player, maintain a professional attitude, and communicate politely and effectively
- Assist patients in choosing their perfect glasses
- Manage the front desk and perform office tasks throughout the day in between patient care
- Previous experience as an Optician technician required
Educational / Experience Requirements / Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Preferred experience:
· Optician/receptionist
· Experience in an Optometry/Ophthalmology setting
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
