Summary
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Bluebonnet Pediatric Therapy. In this role, you will support our therapists by assisting in the assessment and treatment of children with various developmental needs. Your contributions will be vital in helping our young clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist therapists in evaluating children's developmental needs through observation and documentation.
- Support the implementation of therapy plans tailored to each child's unique requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate findings to the therapy team.
- Prepare materials and equipment necessary for therapy sessions.
- Engage with children in a positive manner to promote comfort and cooperation during sessions.
- Collaborate with parents and educators to ensure continuity of care across environments.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to pediatric care.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and pediatric practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in early intervention strategies is preferred.
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) is a plus.
