What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Manager position at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee?
We're hiring a Facilities Manager to join our team. This position will have direct management responsibilities of team consisting of Facilities Supervisor, Facilities Operation Supervisor, Associate Project Manager and two (2) Corporate Facility Planners. This position will have Indirect management of an additional five (5) BCBST employees. This position also serves as key decision maker in the absence of the Director of Building Operations and Engineering.
You'll be a great match for this role if you have working knowledge of facilities in a Corporate Services Environment. Preferred Working knowledge and use of AutoCAD is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing building operations to include the maintenance, repair and improvement of physical systems and equipment, vendor contract management, and cost control
- Providing direction for Real Estate transactions, leasing, Disaster Recovery and Contingency Planning.
- Proactively identify, develop, implement, and maintain efficient and effective processes that provide timely and accurate resolution to customer and stakeholder inquiries, and manage cross-training of staff on technology and best practices to support resolution.
- Provide management oversight on efficiency of design, effectiveness, functionality, adherence to standards, compliance with building codes, required resources for implementation, budget, schedule and the overall design impact to the Enterprise. Responsible for quarterly reporting used in corporate financial reporting and long-range executive planning.
- Manage facility projects through identification of business needs, development of solutions and oversee planning and execution of construction and remodeling projects to include coordination with various contractors, vendors, and internal partners. Mitigate project risks through critical path and contingency planning while maximizing value to the Enterprise
- Management of Food Services Contract and hospitality needs for the enterprise.
