What are the responsibilities and job description for the Membership Admin Acct Spec - Q position at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee?
We are looking for a dedicated Membership Administrative Account Specialist to join our Enrollment and Billing team. This role requires overtime during our AEP and OEP periods from October 7, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
In this position, you will become a versatile expert. The primary responsibilities of a Membership Administrative Account Specialist include reviewing and processing potential beneficiaries’ applications (via the Wipro portal) according to Medicare guidelines, maintaining all current beneficiaries’ accounts throughout the year (via Medicare received Transaction codes), conducting some membership calls, and updating policy information (via Facets inquiries and/or emails).
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1 year of Facets experience
- 1 year of Customer Service and/or Research experience
- Ability to manage workload to meet department deadlines
- Medicare Advantage experience is a plus but not required
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Job Responsibilities
- Implementing appropriate filing and documentation procedures; maintaining all physical and electronic files in current and accurate condition.
- Communicating with underwriters, agents, loss control specialists or any others to both receive and pass on all relevant policy and case information; utilizing information to improve services, anticipate and prevent problems, or suggest improvements.
- Meeting assigned quality and work load expectations; implementing revisions or improvements to procedures, as necessary. Ensure all production, timeliness, and quality standards are met.
- Processing assigned policies and cases according to department procedures and expectations; responding to complaints and inquiries, identifying and resolving difficulties in membership and benefits services.
Job Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 1 year - Experience in the healthcare industry required
Skills\Certifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
