SUMMARY
The Surfside Front Desk Agent is the first and last point of contact for our guests at Surfside. Therefore, he/she must maintain a significant level of friendliness, personable, and efficient service.
This person will be responsible for working with lodging and food & beverage guests.
A typical day includes checking people in/out (lodging), taking/making phone calls for reservations, picking up daily / weekly items from other resort departments for business needs, restocking & selling grab-n-go items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Strong English language skills
· Ability to multitask
· Cash handling skills
· Possess a keen sense of teamwork and ability to manage/work in high pressure situations
· Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment
· Be able to provide friendly, fun, and personable service
· Perform all Check-In and Check-Out tasks for Front Desk
· Assist in collaboration with the Waves Café Team by assisting with taking orders, cleaning tables, delivering food, and other items as needed
· Manage online and phone reservations
· Respond to guests’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
· Provide information about our resort, available rooms, rates, and amenities
· Suggest and sell Grab and Go Food Products.
· Communicate with other departments to ensure all guest needs are being met
· Any additional tasks as assigned by Surfside Guest Experience Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior Front Desk and or Food and Beverage experience is preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills and good oral and written command of English. Ability to effectively present and respond to guests and other staff members
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
The ability to use basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, and division is necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to l0 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
