Description

Bluefin is seeking a visionary Senior Vice President of Marketing to lead our efforts in driving growth, amplifying our brand, and solidifying our market position. The ideal candidate will blend strategic insight with operational expertise to deliver measurable results, enhance customer engagement, position Bluefin as industry thought leaders, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Define and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that integrates brand development, go-to-market initiatives, public relations, and demand generation to meet growth objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the heads of product, sales, technology, and the C-suite to align marketing strategy with organizational goals, product roadmaps, and customer needs.
  • Leverage market research, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to refine Bluefin’s value proposition, positioning, and messaging across diverse customer segments.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team, ensuring marketing priorities align with business objectives and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of marketing efforts with product innovation, sales enablement, and technology advancements.

Go-to-Market Execution & Growth Enablement

  • Develop and execute multi-channel demand generation strategies, leveraging digital, traditional, and partner-driven approaches to drive qualified leads and sales pipeline growth.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure marketing efforts align with pipeline objectives, improving lead quality and conversion rates at each stage of the funnel.
  • Implement and refine robust marketing attribution models to measure the impact of campaigns on pipeline metrics, enabling data-driven investment decisions and ROI optimization.
  • Design and implement strategies that enhance partner enablement, driving adoption and promoting new product launches.
  • Build systems to monitor and refine marketing performance, ensuring alignment with KPIs such as CAC, LTV, SQL, and pipeline contribution.
  • Partner with sales to optimize inbound engagement and conversion from first touch through sales conversion, ensuring alignment toward target metrics.
  • Brand Development & Thought Leadership

  • Elevate the company’s brand to achieve recognition as a market leader in payment and data security, establishing authority within key industries such as healthcare, retail, and higher education and among target ICPs.
  • Partner with executives and subject matter experts to produce high-value content such as white papers, bylined articles, keynote speeches, and podcasts.
  • Help drive impactful PR campaigns to showcase the company’s innovation, customer success stories, and market impact.
  • Oversee brand storytelling efforts, ensuring consistent messaging and impactful content across all touchpoints, including PR, social media, and events.
  • Data-Driven Marketing Operations

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive performance marketing strategy, leveraging Google AdWords and LinkedIn Ads to drive lead generation, customer acquisition, and brand awareness.
  • Optimize digital advertising campaigns through continuous A / B testing, audience segmentation, and performance tracking to maximize ROI.
  • Partner with internal teams to implement and refine SEO strategies, enhancing organic search visibility, traffic, and conversions.
  • Implement and refine analytics-driven processes, leveraging data insights to optimize campaign performance, customer engagement, and overall ROI.
  • Oversee marketing technology investments, ensuring an integrated stack that supports seamless customer journeys, real-time tracking, and pipeline management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and overarching business objectives, including CAC, LTV, and SQL metrics.
  • Own marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation across paid, organic, and earned channels to maximize impact and achieve growth targets.
  • Team Leadership & Culture Building

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader, balancing strategic oversight with tactical execution as needed.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 15 years of product or solutions marketing experience with B2B technology companies
  • Experience in FinTech, cybersecurity, data privacy, and / or payments industry
  • Experience working with product, sales, and customers in a B2B technology setting
  • Proven ability to create and socialize product messaging frameworks, ideal customer profiles, sales training materials, prospecting guides, objection handling guides, battle cards, sales decks, product overview sheets, etc.
  • Understanding of the B2B buying process for both Direct and Partner sales models
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills (written and verbal) including the ability to translate technical capabilities into digestible messaging
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines
  • Prior team management experience
  • Analytical with experience analyzing customer, market, and sales data to help inform positioning and targeting decisions
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%.
