TPC - Police Advisor

BlueForce, Inc. is seeking for Police Advisors to provide professional services and subject matter expertise, CONUS and OCONUS, in support of the US Department of State (DoS) Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Program.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level subject matter expertise in program planning, designing, technical assistance, and implementation.
• Provide senior-level management expertise in specialized field of expertise, as well as functional and technical expertise to lead complex, large projects to deliver client solutions and/or manage operations of multiple projects.
• High level expertise and ability to solve complex and unusual managerial issues while exercising independent judgment.
• Assist senior-leadership in the development of program strategies and implementation.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure within short time constraints, and during times of rapidly developing events.
• Experienced working international or peacekeeping missions, and/or related international development activities.

Qualifications

• For a position in the U.S., candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or legal U.S. resident. Secret, Top Secret, or public trust certification will be required.
• For a position outside the U.S., any citizenship (U.S., Third Country National (TCN), and Local National (LN)) is allowable. Security clearance or public trust certification will be required for US nationals and RSO vetting for TCN and LN.

**Please note that depending on years of experience in relevant field, there are five (5) labor categories available.**

Level 1

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in international relations, law enforcement, public policy, or related field.
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience with U.S. law enforcement or military; experience briefing in English.
• Knowledge of, and skill in, correct usage of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style.

Level 2

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in international relations, law enforcement, public policy, or related field; OR five (5) years of professional law enforcement experience.
• Three (3) to eight (8) years of experience with U.S. law enforcement or military; experience briefing in English.
• Preference of demonstrated experience working overseas in an Embassy environment.
• Knowledge of, and skill in, correct usage of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style.

Level 3

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in international relations, law enforcement, public policy, or related field; OR eight (8) years of professional law enforcement experience.
• Eight (8) to twelve (12) years of experience with U.S. law enforcement or military; experience briefing in English.
• Preference of demonstrated experience working overseas in an Embassy environment.
• Two (2) years of specialized experience depending on the position (e.g. intelligence, firearms, gangs, kidnapping, drugs, internal affairs); experience briefing in Spanish and English.
• Knowledge of, and skill in, correct usage of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style.

Level 4

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in international relations, law enforcement, public policy, or related field; OR ten (10) years of professional law enforcement experience.
• Twelve (12) to eighteen (18) years of experience with U.S. law enforcement or military; experience briefing in English.
• Demonstrated experience working overseas in an Embassy environment.
• Three (3) years specialized experience depending on the position (e.g. intelligence, firearms, gangs, kidnapping, drugs, internal affairs).
• Knowledge of, and skill in, correct usage of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style.
• Attained a rank of Lieutenant or higher in an agency with at least 100 sworn officers is desirable.

Level 5

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in international relations, law enforcement, public policy, or related field; OR ten (10) years of professional law enforcement experience.
• A minimum of eighteen (8) years of experience with U.S. law enforcement or military; experience briefing in English.
• Three (3) years of experience working overseas in an Embassy environment.
• Three years specialized experience depending on the position (e.g. intelligence, firearms, gangs, kidnapping, drugs, internal affairs).
• Knowledge of, and skill in, correct usage of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style.
• Attained a rank of Major or higher in an agency with at least 100 sworn officers is desirable.
