Position Summary:
Vice President, Information Management will develop and execute the organization's enterprise-wide information management strategy. This role will lead the integration of data systems, ensure seamless interoperability, and optimize information architecture to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) with extensive experience in corporate information management, Department of Defense (DoD) compliance, and data management requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive information management strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide executive-level guidance on data management, system integration, and technology adoption.
- Lead enterprise digital transformation initiatives, ensuring modern, scalable, and interoperable systems.
Information Management & Integration
- · Oversee enterprise-wide data system integration, ensuring seamless data flow across business units.
- · Apply emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, to enhance information management.
- · Optimize information curation and sharing within and across BFA.
- · Drive forward-looking capabilities to support corporate and programmatic initiatives.
Data & Analytics:
- Design and manage robust data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, security, risk management and compliance with DoD and other applicable standards.
- Leverage analytics and business intelligence tools to enhance operational insights.
- Drive AI and machine learning initiatives where applicable.
DoD & Compliance
- Ensure all information systems comply with DoD regulations, including cybersecurity, data protection, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with DoD partners to align organizational systems with defense requirements and data classification, fostering trust and operational excellence.
- Act as the organization’s SME on DoD-related information systems, compliance requirements, and operational protocols.
Operational
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of enterprise applications, data warehouses, and business intelligence tools, using industry-leading tools, such as ITIL.
- Provide and manage resources to support programmatic needs (e.g., interfaces among corporate and program data tools and processes, expertise in compliance and data classification).
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and practices that can improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Establish and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data systems.
- Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring cost-effective investments.
- Establish and enforce information curation and usage policies, procedures, and best practices.
