What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Analyst position at Bluegrass Community Health Center?
The Quality Analyst is responsible for data management, quality and analysis for the Bluegrass Community Health Center (BCHC).
The primary function of the Quality Analyst is the use of systematic data collection and reporting, data maintenance and data analysis to support evidenced based decision making in all aspects of BCHC’s activities – clinical, financial and operational.
The Quality Analyst also performs data base problem analysis. Supports the recoveries of data base files. Assists in policy development and enforcement of data processing procedures, techniques and methods.
Data Analysis
- Develops and compiles data for required recurring reports as well as other reports as requested by BCHC management
- Assists in providing other members of staff with data collection and compilation as required
- Presents data outputs and analysis to BCHC management team to support BCHC’s planning and decision making and implementation of BCHC’s Health Care Plan and Scope of Services
- Provides health center leadership with data required for funding agency reporting.
- Maintains files of historical data for trend analysis.
- Identifies data entry problems that impact organizational reports and works with health center leadership to resolve issues.
- Participates as a member of the Quality Committee providing audit reports. Will assist in the development and implementation of improvement plans.
Clinic Practice Management
- Works in clinic as part of a medical team to maintain clinic expertise and staff as needed.
- Develops training materials and oversees orientation of new staff on clinical EMR.
- Works with EMR provider to update data management collection, reports, etc.
- Collaborates with the Directors and IT to ensure clinical EMR issues are logged and resolved in a timely fashion.
- Serves as clinical EMR expert resource for providers and clinical staff.
- Works with the EMR vendor and nursing and other clinical staff to ensure quality of clinical EMR.
- Conducts/ensures implementation of interdepartmental quality activities including clinical quality controls, practice management quality controls, risk management, and patient safety.
- Responsible for coordinating student/learner placements, ensuring students/learners have required immunizations and screenings, assigning students/learners the appropriate educational modules, and maintaining student/learner placement logs.
