Job Responsibilities
- Perform interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
- Document patient care given and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Associates Degree Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- Kentucky RN state licensure or compact licensure required.
- 1-2 years minimum experience as bedside RN, 2-4 years critical care experience preferred.
