Overhead Crane Service Technician

Summary:

Field installation of overhead crane systems, Jib cranes, electronic/pneumatic chain hoist, lever hoist and numerous other types of industrial crane systems. Inspections and Repair of Cranes. Hoist Repair.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Crane system installation

Preventative maintenance

Emergency crane repair

Periodic inspections

Competencies:

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize and easily adapt to changing situations

Excellent problem-solving skills

Ability to confer with management team to coordinate daily activities/schedule

Strong verbal/written communication skills

Mechanically inclined

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED

2 years of crane experience including inspection, troubleshooting, repair and installation.

Physical Demands:

Able to stand and walk for long periods of time

Stooping/kneeling/crouching

Exposure to loud noises

Exposure to temperature changes

Able to lift up to 35 pounds

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Hours are somewhat flexible and some late evenings may be required.

Travel:

80% of the job is in the field and will need to be willing to travel throughout KY, OH and IN as job requires. Some overnight travel.

Work Environment:

Working in the field which may be inside industrial locations, possibly outside exposed to the elements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
