Warehouse Associate - Part-time/Contract

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Associate to work as part of our Seattle Warehouse Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone keen to grow their career in a fast-paced, high-performing team. You will be responsible for receiving, sorting, organizing, stocking, shipping, and warehousing activities.

What you will focus on:

• Receive and Unload Merchandise: Unload furniture and other goods from trailers, placing them in designated staging and racking areas.
• Handle Big Items: Safely and efficiently move larger items like mattresses, dressers, and sofas.
• Ability to become certified on material handling equipment, including: pallet jacks or forklifts to navigate through the warehouse safely
• (we will provide forklift training)
• Inspect and Repair Merchandise: Perform visual inspections and repair as needed.
• Unbox and Assemble Products: Prepare items for furnishings by unboxing and assembling them as required.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse tidy and organized to showcase your organizational skills.
• Inventory Management: Assist with accurate inventory tracking and control.
• Attention to detail is a must including understanding labels and matching labels with product
• Maintains stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean while following safety standards
• Repairing broken furniture
• Performing other related duties or special projects as assigned by warehouse team leader
  
  

Daily Tasks

• Load and unload furniture from trucks.
• Move and unpack furniture for pre-assembly.
• Pick and prepare merchandise in staging areas (2–3 orders per day up to 80 items).
• Keep warehouse areas clean and safe.
• Operate equipment and tools proficiently.
• Check for adhoc orders, requests via messaging platforms
  
  

What we are looking for:

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Experience operating an electric pallet jack is preferred.
• Physical Requirements:Lift, lower, push and pull all furniture sizes up to and in excess of 100 lbs.
• Experience with operating a hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
• Familiarity with tools like Slack and Google Suite products (Gmail, Calendar).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing tasks independently.
• Physical strength to lift, pull, push, and move furniture weighing up to 110 pounds.
• Reliable and dependable with excellent organizational skills.
