About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Structured Cabling Technician to join our team in the Telecommunications/IT industry. As a Structured Cabling Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper cabling systems. Your work will be critical to ensuring that our clients have reliable and efficient communication systems. You will work closely with other technicians and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Travel is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in structured cabling installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as BICSI or RCDD
- Experience with fiber optic splicing and testing equipment
- Experience with wireless access point installation and configuration
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper cabling systems
- Test and troubleshoot cabling systems to ensure optimal performance
