Summary of Role:
The part-time HR Generalist will report to the COO and directly support a small, dynamic team. You will be the primary HR person at BluePath Health, responsible for recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations, while also ensuring compliance with HR policies and labor laws.
The successful candidate will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and managing the hands-on aspects of HR. This is a hybrid position, with a combination of work in the Larkspur office and remote work.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Management:
- Provide daily support and guidance to employees on HR policies with an emphasis on productivity and positivity to ensure smooth team dynamics.
- Conduct thorough investigations when necessary and partner with leadership to resolve disputes.
- Foster an environment of open communication and trust.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with the organization's goals and values.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Oversee the recruitment process for new hires, from sourcing candidates to conducting screening interviews and facilitating the interview process.
- Work with managers to identify talent needs and create job descriptions that attract top talent.
- Facilitating the hiring process, including extending job offers and onboarding new hires.
Performance Management:
- Lead performance management processes, including annual reviews, goal setting, and ongoing feedback.
- Identify coaching and development opportunities for employees to help them achieve their full potential and manage the training program.
- Manage disciplinary actions and terminations, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
HR Operations:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Liaise with BluePath Health’s third-party benefits administrator to manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Maintain the employee handbook, ensuring the handbook complies with federal and state employment laws.
- Provide a point of contact to BluePath Health staff for HR-related questions.
Strategic HR Initiatives:
- Partner with the leadership team to drive strategic HR initiatives that support the organization's growth and stability.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve HR processes and policies.
- Create HR policies/practices aligned with business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role, with a focus on recruiting/onboarding and HR operations.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
- Excellent and professional written & verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Proficiency in HR software and tracking systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- A hands-on approach to HR, with the willingness to get involved in the day-to-day operations.
- Experience in a small team or startup environment is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
