Laboratory Technician (Onsite)
Location : Dahlgren, VA - Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD)

We are actively seeking to identify a Laboratory Technician to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in conducting research, development, and testing of advanced defense technologies.
Position Description :
The Laboratory Technician will support for Research and Development (R&D) and Science and Technology (S&T) laboratory programs, supporting R&D, S&T, and experimentation and testing to influence system design and development for a broad spectrum of technologies. These technologies will include development and testing of prototypes and biological systems to support biological defense.
Responsibilities :
- Support research, development, and testing efforts to advance defense technologies.
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to contribute to R&D and S&T laboratory programs.
- Develop and implement test procedures and generate comprehensive test reports.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with NSWCDD scientists to enhance quality control and optimize research methodologies.
- Assist in the development and testing of prototypes and biological defense systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of laboratory processes and results.
- Setting up, performing, and evaluating complex chemical, biological, and / or physical tests and experiments under the general guidance and direction of professional staff members.
- Operating a wide variety of laboratory test equipment, apparatus, and methods including pipettes, immunoassay, and Polymerase Chain Reaction.
- Preparing and processing experimental operations involving complex formulations, precise calibration, sampling, experimental techniques, and test concepts.
- Designing test procedures and preparing test reports.
