As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians, you are a liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors. You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in person conversations. Additionally, you will be assisting with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, filling prescriptions, taking x rays, and obtaining lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.

Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours. Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.

- Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential
As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians, you are a liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors. You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in person conversations. As an IM Veterinary Technician, you will...
- Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
- Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
- Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia
- Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
- Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
- Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
