Position:
We are currently looking for a Production Planner at our Longmont, CO location.
The production planner is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity as well as managing inventory levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3-5 years of experience in a production planning environment. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
- 3-5 years of broad manufacturing background preferred.
- Experience with project management software and production planning tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Applicants must have exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills and the ability to think independently
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Applicants must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities
Ability to determine the sequence of operations to efficiently manufacture parts from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Review Mechanical drawings and make determination on how to acquire e.g. fabricate in-house or outsource.
- Determine plan time for the different operations
- Create routers in Epicor
- Support Fabrication Manager in planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.
- Support to manage inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected item, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules. Complete shipping information and delivery date input during sale order reviews.
- Support to order floor stock with shelf life material for production.
- Review work in process material sweeps from production floor.
- Receive and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report.
- Support to release purchase orders for production material, floor stock items and all purchases to support the business unit.
- Interface with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment of production goals with organizational objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans as necessary to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management to communicate production status and recommendations.

The hourly pay rate for this position varies between $26.00 - $32.00 depending on experience and education.
