Position:
We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Saw Operator at our South Chesterfield, VA location. The Saw Operator is responsible for cutting Raw-Stock of various metal materials to specifications
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Cut parts to specification.
- Load and unload delivery trucks.
- Organize and inventory raw materials.
- Operate grinders.
- Maintain functionality and cleanliness of relevant equipment
- Work closely with fabrication team members.
- Work with the Service Manager on Service and Aftermarket related topics that require cutting on short notice.
- Follow established fabrication procedures and standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to adjust speed and feed values for various materials.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to use measuring instruments e.g., tape measures (both metric and standard) and calipers.
- Ability to plan and organize work to maximize efficiency.
- Ability to determine the type, size, and shape of materials.
- Basic understanding of geometry concepts.
