BluePrint and Origin Engines, a leading company in Kearney, NE, is seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Engineer to join our team. We specialize in the development of new products for spark ignition engines, emissions development, and engine management calibration. Responsibilities- Develop and calibrate spark ignition engines for gasoline, natural gas, and propane
- Conduct EPA/CARB certification testing
- Perform mobile, stationary, and on-road engine testing
- Execute high-performance engine testing
- Calibrate engine management systems for new products
- Provide detailed test reporting
- Proficient engine calibration experience
- Experience and knowledge of internal combustion engines
- Experience using AVL or Kistler in-cylinder pressure transducers
- Data acquisition experience collecting and processing data
- Experience with using and maintaining emissions test equipment
- Ability to work hands-on with new product during development process
- Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently (preferred)
- A manufacturing environment may require heavy lifting and manual labor
- Clean, air conditioned and heated facility
- Flexible and family oriented
- 1st shift (standard 48-hour work week, automatic overtime built into each Friday)
- Monday – Thursday 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Friday 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Starting salary of $65,000 annually, with the potential for higher compensation based on relevant experience and qualifications.
