JOB SUMMARY:
Overall Summary of Function
The Installer I ensures the success of special events for our clients. This can include trade shows, conferences, conventions, and other unique events. The Driver/Installer will have an opportunity to represent our company, working with others, ensuring effective installations and take-downs, working with clients, our warehouse, operations, and sales. This person must be able to think on their feet, use good judgment, take care of fellow team members, and provide outstanding customer service to our clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
At Minimum Duties & Responsibilities
- Capable of leading a team of up to 4 workers or more individuals, after 60 days of initial training.
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record free of any DUI charges within the past 5 years and no more than 2 points on the license.
- Works with warehouse staff to ensure the right items are brought together and safely loaded onto our box truck.
- Drives items to client sites, safely and on time, obeying all rules of the road.
- Unloads vehicle, setting up displays, furniture, and other items as required.
- Sets up items according to predetermined floor plans, usually working with fellow Blueprint Studios employees, or contracted staffing firms.
- Upholds the highest standards of quality control during installations of events and strikes (takedowns).
- Serves as one of the company Ambassadors who will be interacting with Clients and Customers during assigned installations and strikes.
- Must be proactive to ensure all event installations are set within the contract timeline or earlier based on client requirements.
- Ensures the use of proper field operations equipment (tools, supplies, par-inventories), reporting any missing items or items in need of repair.
- Must be able to be very organized and complete all paperwork for assigned field operations production books when needed.
- Maintains exceptional professional levels of customer service skills and exemplary compliance.
- Exemplifies clear organizational skills and solution-driven management (sets example).
- Must attend all mandatory monthly operations or other meetings.
- Check-in and out with client/venue always; Always provide business cards or phone contact.
- Must have a valid license with a good driving record.
- Must be able to read, complete and provide feedback on department-related reports.
- Ensures furniture, fixtures, and other equipment is kept in ideal appearance and working order.
- Experience and knowledge to solve problems and work independently, using good judgment.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and legally.
- This position does require flexibility with schedule including overtime and weekend hours.
- Note: This position does not require a CDL license.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At Minimum Training, Education & Experience
- No experience required
- Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma and or Equivalent
- Must be minimum age of 25 years old
- A minimum of 2-3 years in event management related operations is preferred.
- Experience with audio/visual equipment is a plus.
- Preferred experience in Warehouse or Event Management
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- You must be able to speak proficiency and to provide written reports and feedback to management.
- Must be very organized, detail-oriented and team success driven.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to a fast paced environment.
- Computer skills to include email and Microsoft Office software and Google Docs.
- Need to be flexible in work schedule and able to work on weekends if needed.
- Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer drug test and background check.
Note - The position requires the ability to operate a company vehicle for work-related purposes. Therefore, all applicants must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. If an employee who is required to have a valid driver's license loses their license for any reason or cannot be added to the company's insurance policy, they may be demoted to a non-driving position or terminated at the company's discretion.
