BlueRock Behavioral Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Counselors in Bat Cave, NC to provide direct support, supervision, and mentorship to youth (ages 12-17) in our therapeutic residential program. Who We’re Looking For:
A reliable, compassionate, and patient mentor who can provide structure, support, and positive guidance to adolescents. The ideal candidate is adaptable, solution-focused, and able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in challenging situations.
Residential Counselor Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise & support residents, serving as a positive role model within the therapeutic residential setting
- Ensure a physically & emotionally safe environment for all youth in care
- Engage in daily programming, including academic, clinical, and experiential therapy activities
- Follow structured schedules & program guidelines to support youth development
- Report behaviors & progress to the clinical team, care coordinators, and guardians
- Drive company vehicles for resident transportation (if applicable)
- Uphold resident rights, safety, & program integrity
Residential Counselor Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health or related field encouraged)
- 1 years of experience working with youth/adolescents preferred
- At least 21 years of age
- CPR & First Aid certification (training provided)
- Valid driver’s license & clean driving record preferred
- Ability to maintain healthy professional boundaries and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
