Blues Hog manufacturers premium BBQ products and is headquartered in Washington, Missouri. We are currently seeking a candidate to fill the position of Accounting Assistant. Responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, month end reconciliations, answering phones and various other related duties as assigned. Position requires the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Blues Hog also has two sister companies this position would cover.
This is a full-time position. Competitive Pay and Benefits Package available with full-time employment. Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, no weekends.
Job Description
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for:
- Accounts Payable; match bills to supporting documentation and enter into corresponding company
- Accounts Receivables; match ACH, EFT, Wire payments
- Contact customers on outstanding Receivables
- Remote bank deposits
- Assist with herd management for sister company
- Assist Controller in monthly reconciliations (credit cards and bank recs)
- Use Google Calendar to set reminders for regularly occurring tasks
- High degree of customer service, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Required Qualifications
Qualities we look for in an ideal team member:
- Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience required
- Must be in the office Monday through Friday.
- Organization skills, timely and thorough
- Adhering to all company policies and procedure
- Experience with Quickbooks preferred
