Compensation Range:

0Under direct supervision, the Material Handler 1 operates forklifts or other mobile equipment to perform routine moving, staging, loading or unloading of materials, supplies or products within or near plant, yard, warehouse or work site.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Transports raw materials, supplies, products and/or finished goods to and from storage or production lines and places them in designated area. 80% of job.
- Completes all necessary paperwork and transactions, including scanning requirements. 5% of the job.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities. 10% of the job.
- Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned. 5% of job.
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, or attain ACT WorkKeys Assessment at certified job profile skill level.
Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications
- 3 months of experience operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing or shipping environment
- Mobile equipment certification
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Basic computer skills
- Time Management – prioritizing work to meet internal and/or external customer demands
- Detail Oriented – ensures accuracy of product and documentation to meet internal and/or external customer demands
- Good communication skills
- Mobile equipment operations skills
