Job Title : Healthcare Financial Transaction Specialist
Contract-to-hire : 6-8 month contracting converting to FTE.
Location : 100% remote (working CST hours)
Essential Duties & Tasks :
20% = Map hospital payor (insurance) plans to standardized categories
70% = Map hospital financial transactions (payments and adjustments) to standardized categories
Remaining 10% = Map hospital admission types (inpatient and outpatient) to standardized categories
Remaining 10% = Map hospital subunits (rehab, psych, etc.) to standardized categories
Remaining 10% = Map third party (collection agencies) transactions to standardized categories
Skill / Experience / Education
Mandatory
Experience with Epic, Meditech, McKesson or Cerner EHRs and / or exposure to Healthcare Information
Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills (Ex : Excel and SQL)
Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to interact effectively with peers, management and customers
Proficient in communication, research and critical thinking
Ability to manage tasks independently, work quickly, take ownership of responsibilities and meet deadlines
Highly comfortable in a team setting
Process driven, yet adaptable to change when necessary
Experience working multiple projects at once
Desired
Bachelor's degree
1-2 years of experience in a healthcare related field
Background in hospital accounting practices
Experience standardizing and validating large data sets
