Software Engineering Manager

Hybrid position in Braintree, MA, with a salary range of $150k to $190k and additional compensation through bonus and benefits.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position that also involves managing a small team of 4 software engineers. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for driving the development of a comprehensive product suite and architecture that includes ETL, large-scale databases, real-time integrations with external systems, a publicly facing API, compute engines, and user-facing applications.

Responsibilities

• Be a hands-on contributor across the full application stack, ensuring high availability and resilience.
• Lead efforts to introduce new technologies and best practices into the organization.
• Utilize cloud-native architectures to deliver secure and scalable services.
• Collaborate with the team to establish standards for code quality and application performance.
• Contribute to the definition and execution of security standards and compliance.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and trends that impact or influence current and future product development.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in full-stack web development environments, including participation in complex system architecture and team management.
• Extensive experience with Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and other programming languages.
• Experience with AWS, cloud providers, and containerized services such as Docker.
• Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, single-page applications, and React.js.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, QA Engineers, Data Scientists, and Mobile Engineers.
• Expertise in articulating engineering design strategies related to scalability, performance, security, usability, and development platforms.

Salary : $150,000 - $190,000
