As a Fulfillment Associate, you are responsible for executing the logistics processes behind receiving, processing, shipping and storing Inventory according to Purchase Orders and Warehouse Policy.  You will receive, input, sort, load and unload products and additionally perform various Warehouse activities.

FULFILLMENT ASSOCIATE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Selects merchandise from labeled shelves or floor stock in the designated area, according to itemized listings on a picking ticket; affixes picking ticket to merchandise and assembles merchandise in totes, cartons, tubs or onto a pallet depending on the order type.
  • Confirms the accuracy of merchandise picked compared to customer orders. Inspects chosen products for defects and damages. Ensures merchandise is packaged in the appropriate sized cartons or bags according to   shipping guidelines. Routes completed customer orders to the appropriate location for shipping. 
  • Determines the destination of products (i.e. good stock, reconditioning, manufacturer, liquidate or burn). Adjusts inventory via designated computer program or designated form.  Repackages products in a manner appropriate to the designated destination and according to pre-established measurements and instructions.
  • Organizes warehouse space, prepares empty cartons for disposal and consistently keeps the warehouse and workstation clean and organized.
  • Ensures product stock is consistently organized and maintains accurate inventory.
  • Examines incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and confirms the identity of Returned Units.
  • Receives, unloads and places inventory items in the appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Abides by all company safety and hygiene regulations and notifies supervisors of any issues or concerns.
  • Contributes ideas on ways to improve and optimize warehouse procedures.
  • Ensures adherence to wave schedule and immediately communicates any concerns to supervisors or managers. Monitors warehouse management system to confirm that all tasks have been completed for each wave and notifies supervisor if major adjustments are required.

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Communication: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. 
  • Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Ability to walk and remain standing for extended periods of time. Ability to reach above head to place or remove stock and to bend over to pick, sort and pack items. Ability to lift and carry clothing, bags, parcels and other items and push carts weighing up to 50 pounds. The position involves exposure to cotton, wool and synthetic fabrics, packing materials and packing adhesives. Individuals unable to perform any of the foregoing physical requirements due to a disability should discuss their limitations with the Human Resources generalist at the facility or with the company’s Benefits Department to determine whether an accommodation may be possible.
