We are seeking a Traffic Coordinator to join our Orchard Brands team at our Eatonton, GA Distribution Center.
JOB SUMMARY
A traffic coordinator is responsible for scheduling and overseeing accurate and efficient receipt of incoming shipments, verifying their contents, and ensuring that they are appropriately documented and processed for further distribution, as well as maintaining vendor compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with logistics companies and schedule incoming deliveries.
- Compare received items to packing lists, purchase orders, and other documents to verify accuracy.
- Inspect goods for damages.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of received shipments.
- Generate receiving reports and update inventory systems with received quantities.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company procedures and standards.
- Completes all incoming and outgoing documents.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve problems related to received goods.
- Completes all paperwork for home office and prepares for mailing.
- Ensure vendors are compliant with our packaging and shipping procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Warehouse or distribution center experience preferred
- Ability to comprehend and apply company policies and procedures. Analyze and solve practical workday challenges. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and visual manners, including through diagrams, flow charts, and schedules. Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Basic computer skills, including the use of keyboards, mouse entry devices, monitors, and printers
- Must be reliable through good attendance, punctuality and cooperation
