Job Summary
We are looking for a high performing General Manager. This Successful candidate will develop and execute administrative, operational and financial aspects of the hotel while having the ability to prioritize and work under pressure when needed. Creating fun ways to train and motivate our team whilst also implementing accountability. Must have knowledge of all departments and aspects of the Hotel and have the ability to handle all types of hotel operations duties/tasks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including forecasting, scheduling, and preparation of budget. Participate in revenue meetings and F&B inventory.
- Coordinate solutions quickly when guests experience problems by working with housekeeping and/or other service staff. Have a favorable solution for the guest.
- Ability to assist every department and front office system.
- Willing to work all shifts including night audit.
- Ensuring shift’s duties are completed according to Standard Operating Procedures. Help cover shifts when needed.
- Ensures reports are run and revised as well as reservation codes and pricing to ensure all revenue avenues are properly recorded.
- Aware of all hotel facilities and services, such as restaurant, fitness and Business center hours, local points of interest.
- Play a pivotal role in working with the team and all staff at moment’s notice.
- Positive and constructive communication with your team that fosters and builds teamwork.
- Communicate with other hotel staff, such as housekeeping or maintenance, Sales, F&B or Front desk proactively, anticipating guest needs.
- Implement and review all Brand Standards in preparation for annual inspection. Ensure all training is completed prior to deadlines.
- Review all city and local codes as well team training to ensure all is up to date (fire codes, elevator codes, water codes etc.)
REQUIREMENS
- 4 years of progressive Hotel experience; or a college degree.
- Possess a good understanding of STR Report, market shares, and revenue management.
- Clear and concise verbal written communication skills.
- Essential statistical and analytical skills required to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls.
- Ability to work both independently and cross functionally to achieve goals.
- Problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license in the applicable states.
