What you'll be doing
- Overseeing day-to-day HR functions and ensuring smooth operations.
- Explaining company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees and job applicants.
- Facilitating new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
- Managing the FMLA process from application through administration.
- Recording essential employee data including hire dates, attendance, and termination details.
- Executing administrative tasks such as payroll processing and resolving time discrepancies using Kronos and HR Service Center.
- Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates for vacant positions.
- Completing required paperwork and reports with due diligence.
- Developing and implementing cost-saving ideas and strategic initiatives.
- Communicating new or updated policies and procedures to the team.
- Coordinating and conducting employee training on compliance, safety, and ethics.
- Responding to inquiries regarding HR policies and programs while maintaining confidentiality.
What the ideal candidate has
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Experience that will be evaluated through the interview process.
- Proficiency in software such as Kronos, SuccessFactors, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.
- Willingness to work off-shift hours as needed.
EHS Responsibilities include...
- Reviewing incident reports and ensuring timely submission to the workers' compensation provider.
- Determining necessity for doctor appointments and scheduling as needed.
- Inputting incident information into Lear s Benchmark system and following cases to resolution.
- Updating supervisors on employees' work restrictions and duty status.
- Closing cases when treatment ceases and handling follow-ups for missed appointments.
- Managing the light duty list and conducting monthly inspections as per the Spill plan.
- Uploading utility data, grading training quizzes, and updating training matrices.
- Contributing to injury root cause analysis and corrective measures.
- Participating in safety and ergonomic committee meetings.
