What you'll be doing...
- Implement and maintain data management infrastructure
- Support SAN and NAS storage systems, backup/recovery environments, and virtualization infrastructure through hardware and software management
- Ensure the security, disaster recovery, and continuity of enterprise storage and backup infrastructure by adhering to procedures and compliance requirements
- Provide technical support including installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrade, retirement, and troubleshooting
- Utilize configuration management frameworks such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef
- Administer high-speed network storage systems, including Mellanox switches and NAS clusters
- Manage and support cloud systems, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cloud compute engines and storage buckets
- Manage databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle
- Assist staff in accessing and utilizing computing resources
- Coordinate with Labs and DTMB staff to maintain and manage computational resources

- 10 years of experience with Linux CLI environment and coding languages, such as R, Python, Bash
- 10 years of experience with workload management systems like SLURM
- 10 years of experience in setting up HPC systems, identifying hardware and software needs
- 10 years of experience setting up and managing databases, such as PostgreSQL
- 10 years of experience performing system administration including software installation and configuration
- 10 years of experience with Network Appliance clustered servers and applicable software
- 10 years of experience in troubleshooting, issue resolution, discrepancy tracking, and report generation
- Proficiency in Linux configuration for storage, networking, load balancing, memory management, VMs, firewalls, and system monitoring
- Expertise in computer security
- Knowledge of package management systems such as conda, Docker, and Singularity
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Puppet and NextFlow
- Familiarity with cloud computing setups for compute engines and storage buckets
- Strong understanding of enterprise storage solutions
- Familiar with software frameworks for searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data
- Ability to provide recommendations and guidance for storage and cost savings
- Knowledge and experience in HL7 messaging
- Ability to review and interpret web.config files for plugins
- Proficiency in reviewing logs to ensure optimal resource utilization on web/app servers
- Understanding of CloudFlare, ForcePoint, and related policies
- Ability to evaluate junction configuration settings to prevent application issues
- Support failover environment setup for applications
- Assist in completing disaster recovery plans and testing
- Preferred knowledge on CDC-hosted apps (not mandatory)
